Congratulations to Mr Bahren Shaari on being appointed a member of the Council of Presidential Advisers (CPA). An alternate member since 2017, Mr Bahren was sworn in as a full member yesterday. Two years ago, he won the Berita Harian Achiever of the Year award.
Mrs Mildred Tan took over Mr Bahren’s place as an alternate member on the CPA. She was sworn in at the same ceremony, presided over by President Halimah Yacob. I look forward to Mr Bahren’s and Mrs Tan’s contributions to the CPA.
The CPA is an important part of our system of government. The members advise the President on exercising her custodial powers, especially those related to fiscal matters and appointments. – LHL
